The results of having all this done is a series of ‘Ah-ha’s’. Sometimes a person will start the session feeling fine and as soon as I get into the karmic relationship with a specific person, suddenly the person bursts out in tears saying, “Where did that come from?”. I was reminded that THE most important thing about meditation IS – SILENCE! And his explanation of how to tap into that silence was very interesting, although it took an hour long talk. Wow, I am SO grateful to be reminded. Sometimes I think – ‘how could I forget that?’ I taught ‘Universal Law, Science & Philosophy’ through the Walter Russell Home Study Course for several years; way back in the 1980’s. All these years of teaching consciousness work full time. I KNOW that silence has been key to the rapid positive growth people report through my work. And, I have to say, I hate to admit it, the last six months or so I’ve left out the quiet part of the live guided meditations! I’m told that they are still wonderful, powerful – but I also know there are different kinds of meditations and a wide range of results depending on what level of mind/body/spirit connections have been made.
So, OOOPS! And, as good as they may have been, I’m moving back to integrating that SILENCE into the guided programs offered about every 14 days.
So, if you choose to join me today or anytime in the future, know that there will probably be at least a two minute period of QUIET where I will not be speaking. Note on my background as a Meditation Teacher/Trainer:
I was taught to teach & lead meditations in the 1970’s. I took a lot of classes at the ‘Cosmic Mandate Academy” and “Thomas Institute of Metaphysics” in Los Angeles, CA. Yup, I’ve been doing it for a long time. In the beginning it was just a matter of building up the courage to lead the group. Actually, it wasn’t even my conscious choice to do it. My teachers would insist, calling on various students from time to time to lead. Basically putting us on the spot, most of the time without warning. A bit unsettling but we were trained to be spontaneous and ‘channel’. I learned that guiding people into meditation becomes more then just speaking words. Technically there’s timing/pacing, voice inflection, choice of words or sounds (gongs, music, etc.). There could also be posture, hand positions (mudras), many steps before during and after that could be added. But beyond all that technical stuff, the most important next part is developing the awareness and ability to hold a space , feel what’s going on in the room and in each person in the group.
I learned to tap into a collective unconscious energy field. Great yoga teachers know about this. Its all about ENERGY, mind and spirit. The group energy doesn’t always just happen on its own. There’s a group energy called: synergy. When Synergy happens the sum of the whole becomes greater then the sum of the individual parts. Normally: 1 + 1 + 1 = 3. Synergy: 1 + 1 + 1 = 9. I’ll explain that on the live call after the meditation. I’ll share more details of how to develop a ‘channel’.
Having the chance as I did to broadcast on public radio for years in Los Angeles gave me plenty of practice in tuning into people at a distance. What I’m suggesting is that there is an ability to connect to people and channel love/light energy at a distance and its a skill that can be developed. And, there are many ways to develop how to positively influence things or people at a distance. In fact, many of you reading this already do it without knowing it. Thats the good news and the bad news. You may be using this skills at work or in personal relationships and not truly know what you’re doing or how its impacting outcomes. When you become aware of it, it becomes more impactful. You become more powerful. And the process to develop the awareness takes you through steps to help you engage and activate new levels of creativity and focus.
